W.A.E.C. seems to have released the B.E.C.E results on time this year. I just hope the computerized school placements of candidates would follow very soon. On the average, candidates did not perform too well.
The difficulty in getting aggregate six out of five subjects is now very obvious since there is no more Agricultural Science, R.M.E, Pre-Technical Skills and Pre-Vocational Skills to cover up for the English, Maths and Science.
The results I have seen so far suggest all is not very well in most schools. Candidates with aggregate lower than 10 should not worry much since it looks likely that they might just make their first choice school.
To check the results online however, graduands should first obtain scratch cards from the following w.a.e.c head offices. Scratch cards can also be obtained from post offices nationwide.

Graduands with scratch can follow the following steps to check their results online.
1. Start a new browser eg (Internet Explorer, mozilla) and type www.ghana.waecdirect.org in the address bar
2. Enter your B.E.C.E Index number (9 digits) eg 102228001
3. Select the Examination type, in your case ( B.E.C.E.)
4. Select the examination year, in your case ( 2009 )
5. Enter the card serial number found on the reverse side of your scratch card.
6. Enter the PIN ( the 12 -digit number on the scratch card)
7. Confirm your index number and examination year
8. Click on submit and wait for the display in the pop up window
9. Print your B.e.c.e. results
Note
Once the results is released, scratch cards become scarce. Graduands should get one on time.
You cannot give your scratch card to your friend to check his/her results after it has been used once.
You can only use your scratch card to check your result three times.

you can check the school you were placed into on the phone, but your results, buy a scratch card nd check online nd print it out

hi, the checking of the results this year is not good as it should be. When checking, you have to put your year of completion, but the years ends on 2011

They haven’t done the placement yet, you can only check how well you did in the subjects.

You have to go to the educational office in your district to have access to this information.

yeeh, so far as you have access to the internet, you can easily check your results. However, i think if you go to the cafe with your card, your results would be clearly seen
I tried to access my result online but the feedback i got was that ” Candidate’s index number not found, result pending. Please check back later” Please i want to know the problem with my result.I need a reply now because anytime i remember it, it spoils my day. When are the witheld results coming out???

Remember there is a zero at the beginning of the index number. 0102228009 is an example (10 digit). If that doesn’t work then find out whether any of your colleagues received their result. If the answer is in the negative, then it means waec is withholding your your schools entire results for reasons i cannot give. If however some of your mates received theirs, then it means your result is being withheld. Then you need to contact WAEC early to find out why your result is being withheld. A stitch in time saves nine remember!!!
I have tried checking the bece but the site seems to have only WASSCE option. what can I do to check the bece results?

There is an arrow at the right side of the column where you saw the WASSCE option. When you click it, it scrolls down and all the examination being conducted by WAEC is seen there, select the BECE option and fill all the necessary columns before you submit. all the best

Before the end of the month, most universities need it before they can give out admission letters. it might even come earlier than that.

it will be difficult. Agg 25 is too high but so far as you did not fail any of the core subjects, you will be placed.

Candidates wrote 8 or 9 subjects this year. Waec computes the agg based on the best six subjects. So if the candidates gets grade 2 in maths science and english language and gets grade one in the remaining six subjects, his best grade is 06.
However, the computer placement would use the marks he/she obtained in maths, science, english, social and another two subjects to compute his/her raw score.
So Mr. When r the placements going to be available,we r getting worried.

When the placement is released, you will to buy about 2 cedis credit and text your index number to the designated short code for school placement.
When you receive the text indicating the school you have been placed into, you can then go and buy your scratch card after one week cos i think it will take about 2 weeks for the cards to be released. You then have to go to the cafe, print out your statement and take it to your junior secondary school for your headmaster to endorse.
Call the school you were placed into before you take your result there.
I will get the cut off mark of prempeh science class for you tomorrow.

Prempeh college took about 650 students two years ago. The cut off mark for science students was 405 and 260 science students were selected. Am sure with agg 07 or 08, you can make it. None of my guys could get me the prospectus so it seems you might have to get it elsewhere.

Nothing has been released yet. They are just finding avenue to chop your money. If you text your index number to 1471, they would reply with the six schools you chose. If anybody claims to have the results, let them text their message of the schools they were posted to to you

it will depend on which school you are going to. You can easily make it to Archbishop porter girls with that grade but impossible to make geyhey or holico with that grade so juli, it depends on the school
