In 2004, the Junior High school was started with 13 students. Convincing parents to allow their ward to attend the Junior High school at Mayflower wasn’t easy because they were skeptical about our capabilities to produce students that would perform well in the B.E.C.E and make it to any of the top Senior Secondary Schools in Ghana.
However, the teaching staff showed great commitment and did all their best to ensure that the students were given quality education to enable them make it to their dream senior secondary school.
After writing the first Basic Education Certificate Examination in 2006, the school was ranked the 14th best school in Tema Municipality out of over 300 schools with a least grade of aggregate 14.
With a lot of dedication and hard work from the teaching staff and co-operation from parents, we improved on our results in the 2007 B.E.C.E. The school was ranked the 3rd best school in Tema with our worst grade being aggregate 08 and for the 2008/2009 academic year, the school was ranked the best in Tema Municipality.
